ONE GLIMPSED MOMENT'S INWARD TOUCH  (12-23-2009, Sunrise, Palm Springs, California)

winters sunrise light
cast silhouetted shadows
of ficus trees
green leaves
shape shifting
black lace dance
upon my bathroom
windows
frosted  back lit
pane
perceived through corneal
lenses
of both my
open eyes
recast upon
inner screen
of my viscerally
feeling brain
to momentarily suspend
me
in its passive
silent
dream like trance
with my senses
briefly
held within
more lucidly felt
through imaginations
filtered lenses
awakened grasp
of freely broadened
new sights
insights gained
wherein these reflective
thoughts arise
stirred up adrift
evaporatively
like morning dew
left behind
in peaceful wake
of
vanished night
which linger only
briefly here
before they too
must soon make
way
so effortlessly in
silence
returning up to
open skies
transformed  released
in ghostly mists
through radiantly illumined
ascendent touch
of early mornings
still newly
rising
sun
