Moxie is male...in spite of the spelling...and you are right...he doesn't like to be touched by folks he does not know and approve of...
Our cat's not been to the vet since being spayed 12 years ago - perhaps a good thing 🐾 🐾 🐾

Moxie's story is much the same...last time the vet picked him up is when he was "fixed"...as they euphemistically say.
