Wounds

I sometimes
wonder
when you have
a small cut
a wound
if you don't
watch it
take care of it
when it doesn't heal
then you have left
the door wide open
for bugs and viruses
to set up home
to raise a family
to change
the landscape
no matter the consequences

the same
within ones thinking
Continuously
 Immersing ones self
in
entertainment
the trending now
thumbs up
latest craze
where arguments
and debates
within this swamp
of ignorant opinions
that have become
nothing more then
circles of belief
where new information
is ignored
where there is not enough
hours in our days
for any
self reflection
no laughing
at our mistakes
even when we are
 falling asleep
a little
self reflection
does not exist  
always employing
the quick fix
of lying
to our self's
that slowly becomes
a wound
within our thinking
a weeping sore on our heart
leaving the door
wide open
for jealous envy
the creeping virus
of bitterness
the self deception
of feeling the need
to be
included
and the cancer of greed
to set up home
to raise a family
to change
the mindscape
of their host
