Self preservation    
is your inherent right;    
you shall never be denied it    
   
However, attaining such    
at the expense of others . . .    
   
No one can't stop you    
by yanking the parking brake    
after you've relinquished your duties    
along with the steering, endangering    
all of your passengers    
   
but is it really in your best interest    
to be throwing everyone around you    
under the bus as the wheels    
are coming off ..?    
   
That's when you've truly    
veered across the median    
into becoming despic'able
