HOT CONCEPTION

It was so hot one night we couldn't sleep,
so we made love until my seed did seep.
I put in your mother's 'oven' a 'bun';
and nine months later you were born, my son!

Author's Note
Prompt was memory (going back to 70s) of a TV comedy sketch about a dad trying to tell his son how he was conceived. The line that set the course of the dialogue was 'It was too hot for your mother and I to sleep one night'. My write is what dad would have said if he wasn't so guarded.
