Thanks Ron, I find black and white photos very beautiful and many times you can pick up on more of the subtle details and a feeling of peacefulness. I wanted to relate that back to feelings so I hope it worked. :) 💖OoXx

I think that photographs are the only genuine method of time travel.

Mind you I watched Donnie Darko once (I was a little bit off me tree at the time) and watched that part where they travel through the cinema screen and then spent the rest of my sesh staring at a Polaroid waiting to meet my old friends. Bastard still owed me a tenner also now I think about it.

Anyway... That aside....

The last stanza is particularly killer. I like how it lends this ethereal theme to the piece as a whole. Picture helped as well. Made me miss Germany. It’s a beautiful country. Been quite a few times now.

Little bit off me tree - that's me all the time. You are definitely my kind of person. lol Sounds like an acid trip but shhh.... I wouldn't know anything about that or maybe I am on a permanent acid trip; jury's out on that one but no doubt they think I am tripping on something. Germany is great and I miss the UK, lived there for a bit growing up. 💖OoXx (my excuse for everything is I lived in the UK for a while, and everybody's just like Oh because what the f#$@ do they know about the UK. Bravissima Kristina❣❣ I too love B/w photography...leaves me to color with my imagination. Ansel Adams being my favorite protagonist. The two passages that struvk me deepest are, "There is a nudity of subtle feelings" and not because of my love of the state of undress 😄 and "There everything is on a sigh and on the verge" Beautiful BD🌹❤

It’s a beautiful picture. Like black and white movies, black and white photos allow the minds eye to fill in what might be missing. It lends an air of mystery that I’ve always found romantic and appealing. Black and whites also keep the bits and pieces of my soul I don’t trust or want to share with anyone safe and sound. I found that throughout your write.
“ Like a bridge between someone and a soul,” I thought this phrase exceptionally meaningful for me as I used it to mean that space no one can penetrate. It’s safe from interlopers. Powerhouse piece. H🌷

As always, your ability to pick up on what is contained within my writing is incredible. I love how you always seem to be able to truly immerse yourself in it to find the deeper meanings like regarding the bridge. I also used the Devil's bridge specifically to relate to how that space can be a very painful place where we store thoughts and horrible things from our past and present that haunt or torment us. 💖OoXx

There's something about b&w photographs, not just for capturing something nostalgic, but something that reaches out to an individual's artistic imagination.
My father used to be a photographer and when I was little I didn't understand why he would do b&w shots from time to time. Only then as I adult did I begin to appreciate the artistry behind it.

I really do love black and white photos. There is something so serene and peaceful to me, it definitely gives a different dimension and I think it does engage the imagination in a very different and unique way. I like the line, “Like a bridge between someone and a soul”. I too get the feeling that a B&W photo provides more of a connection between the viewer and subject. And yes, a B&W does provide an impression of capturing time. I think B&W captures emotions and feelings better, partly because the color themselves distracts (aptly more eloquently described by “nudity” in your piece).  Enjoyed your perspective on B&W photos.

You definitely get it DaVinci, for all the right reasons. And of course there is a reason I used the Devil's bridge for a picture taking consideration for the dark things that lurk there. Color can be very beautiful but I agree that can also distract and overshadow other details and emotion. Thank you for the comment and giving me your perspective, I really appreciate it. 💖OoXx

The poem, like the photo, is treated with an aesthetic and personal touch. Both mediums are tactile and sharply expressed.  This piece highlights your contemplative side.  Too much to admire to enumerate in this small space!  Excellent!
