I Saw God Today
Looking into my cats
Deep green eyes -
I saw God today.
Looking at five beautiful pine trees
Standing against an azure blue sky -
I saw God today.
Looking into a newly blossomed
Morning Glory,
So quiet, so silent -
I saw God today.
Sitting in a restaurant
And seeing a young couple
Dressed for prom night -
I saw God today.
Watching six Canadian geese
Flying overhead honking -
I saw God today.
Hearing my great granddaughter say,
"I love you Pa." -
I saw God today.
Hearing the buzz
Of a giant bumblebee
In my garden -
I saw God today.
Attending my granddaughters wedding
And watching the bride and groom
In their first dance as man and wife -
I saw God today.
Seeing a dragon fly
On a water lily -
I saw God today.
Watching and hearing the sound
Of the water fall
Splashing into our goldfish pond -
I saw God today.
Looking at the gold fish in the pond
Chasing each other round and round -
I saw God today.
Seeing a small child
Praying in church -
I saw God today.

I really enjoyed this piece, I have to ask tho, are you speaking of god in a christian term, or simply a spiritual term?

I am speaking of the Spark of the Divine ... or the consciousness which interconnects everything ... is immortal and life itself ... some folks call this soul, some spirit and some God ...
