Comprehend It

Iíve never met anyone that could comprehend it
The paradox in the composition of me
And theyíre all saying ďTrust meĒ
Like theyíll be the trampoline
To bounce me back into their reality

And Iím falling all alone
Fingerprints imprinting on cooling skin
When I canít make the blood heat
In the veins of the ones
I always leave behind

And I hear the words
ďYouíre not alone, youíre never aloneĒ
So show me what it means to be alone
When the world loves you
Just the way you are

And Iíve never met anyone that could comprehend it
Iíve never met anyone that could understand
ĎCause itís not like cancer, Iím not sick
And Iím not dying
Not when Iím already dead inside

And itís all in my cerebrum
A notion, a truth, a lie
A reality unwanted when the scripture burns
My skin from my flesh
And deems me unclean

Iím going under like a suicide
That wonít bring that black relief
And the sun doesnít shine quite so bright
When I donít want to beÖ
And I donít get to choose

ĎCause Iíve never met anyone that could comprehend it
And theyíre all saying ďYouíll be okayĒ
Just one day, one step, one moment at a time
And I donít believe them
When the coloured threads mean nothing at all
