Waiting -

I watch from rooftops
like afternoon sunlight,
the partially
shingled building
clamors
with each stiff wind
speaking like the dead,
plucked flowers
drift aimlessly
between
gravestone pathways,
waiting to decipher
peace
in the steps
of angels.
