Image for the poem christmas

christmas

in an old winged armchair
in the corner of my living room
you sit vividly,
your green eyes watching me
like an ongoing movie
of quiet bliss
my heart, covetous, fervor
for the phantasm,
will-o’-the-wisp
of you
the timbre of your voice
the "sum" of us is "one"
With the solid sense of your soul
besiege me

I take the star off the Christmas tree
and walk your way
bend over, open both my hands
a begging token
devotedly blowing the orb
back into your eyes
so that I can see it shoot again
and at once wish for you,
for us,
for moonlight love
and wine tainted dreams
for more prevailing
Christmas Eve’s hereafter
where I can take your breath away
and put it back with a kiss

despondency, misery fit-fall
into place on my cheek
realization
I am here
intercontinental inequity
you are there
the spectre before me
beaming, gives me a quiet nod
my soul shifts, the quanta quakes
and once again, he reminds me;
know.
now.
go.
now.
from.
two.
to.
one.
we
have.
only.
begun.
