That deep, glowing, almost-black blue is a colour I distinctly remember seeing on the cover of a book when I was a kid. I stared at it for hours... it felt like my eyes were drinking it in and I just couldn't get enough. Sometimes I see it in the sky just as the light is fading in summer, but it is always too transient and leaves my eyes wanting more. To live as that dot, perpetually surrounded by that blue, just might be heaven...

When I made this image I was struck how perfect that one dot felt in it's own universe ....
