Don't measure me by thoughts

Do not measure me by thoughts,
Do not measure me by words
Measure me by the stars,
By the wind, by the clouds

By the leaves that have fallen from trees,
By the warm summer rains,
By eternity somewhere in the sky,
By the blue azure seas

Along the pink shiver of sunsets,
By the thrill of moonlit nights,
By the thunder of distant rumblings,
Walking among the fields

By turquoise dewdrops,
By the whisper of white birches,
Along that twisted path,
Creeping among dreams ...

By the scent of magnolias
In a white evening garden,
By cream tenderness of a rose
Falling into my palm

By dreams in a mother-of-pearl haze,
By the morning tenderness of hands,
Playing something on a violin,
Dropping a sound in the heart

By the scarlet dance of a candle,
By fire, burning the night,
And, it seems, waiting for a meeting,
I cannot overcome myself

And yet, do not measure, don't ...
I don't know the edges myself
Sometimes I feel so small,
other times as expansive as space

Author's Note
If people measured me by my thoughts I would be in real trouble, so there is an ulterior motive for this one. :)
