So Inspired

No matter what life sends my way, I'm always thinking in the back of my mind (amidst the joy or fear) there must be a poem in here somewhere. I used to get caught writing poetry in different classes in school when I was supposed to be watching a film or listening to a lecture. My punishment in Humanities class was to stand up and read what I wrote to my classmates. Everyone knew I was on both the school newspsper staff and editor of 'Eclat, our literary magazine. So high school for me was in a very real sense fun and inspiring in itself. It was the sixties then and I was a so-called flower child.
