Self destruction (?)

Under the knife, he surrenders
his innocence for Me to consume
Decided to cut away, pure darkness remaining
Filled his heart with love he hated.

Thrown into silence
Ignore everything he has
his begging, his promises of eternity
on deaf ears spend.
Hope of liberation,
trampled his pathetic desperation.

Yet, he surrenders to the blade
As if it's the only thing protecting
the product of My imagination.

Once he finally realizes
I caged him
He longed for death
within his imaginative mind
I changed him.

Author's Note
Sometimes some are willing to lose parts of themselves, hoping the one they love might love them back. Did they lose themselves in the proces? And how much did they lose? If they do that, will it ever be enough? Or was it just their imagination creating an image of them, which they simply are not?
