Smokescreen

during this festive season
a friend
surreptitiously
conveyed to me
something of great interest
ive examined this escapee
of a cabinet of curiosity
with great interest
and am contemplating
whether i should
set a match to it
for it also possesses
great artistry
in it's construction
and was so beautifully gift wrapped
it feels sacrificial
but yet again
it's very purpose
is to be sacrificed
and for its burning flame of passion
will surely lighten my imagination
and if i don't
it's purpose
and beauty
will lie wasted
so i struck two flints together
but to no avail
then remembered
i had a box
of fire sticks
aka Cooks household matches
in the kitchen
i put the item
between my willing
and excitable, tingling lips
struck the firestick
as a flare of a frozen dragons breath
rose like an angry volcano
a red glow appeared at the end of this object
and thus, i immediately
felt slightly stoned!

their are now clouds
of mystery
exploring my chandelier
as they weave their
gently caressing way
towards the unpainted
but pure ceiling
of my mind!
