Flow right along

Just a cold soul
lonely, despising,
perplexed and droning
 at the midnight horizon..

Feeling distant but still smiling
for the sunshine
learning to laugh while burning
my paths..
reimagining the story of this soul
planting new seeds rid of the
sullied soil producing gory scenes
getting stored in secret sectors
of the psyche
collectively and individually..

Reforming mind the world inside
morphing completely ceasing from
distorting time and creations of mine..

A strange time we occupy and always have I suppose
who knows which way
it's ever gonna go we can only
flow right along
growing, fighting to stay strong..
dying to dream on
to wake up and feel reborn
not torn in two
feeling blue unable to move
or find a groove
pick yourself right on up
save yourself write on love
loosen up hush the fuss
sit back and let it all go
the pain rage and sorrow
the bottled bafflement
the fear of the future
the puzzlement of the past
seeing how none of it lasts
the limitless life struggles and beauty..
not that it doesn't matter
but no denying it
we don't last
the love the hate the fear the beliefs
that keep us so separate desperate
for relief let us shed this grief
and our deceitful ways..

We're marooned in mental mazes
no easy exits or breezy segments
each step and turn you burn within
or purge what's paralyzing you..
