The Other Man

A few stolen moments with a woman that didn’t belong to me
He had her heart while I had her sexually periodically
Christmas and Valentine’s Day gifts exchanged amongst them
And when we aren’t having sex, I get an ear full about them
How he doesn’t do this and how he doesn’t do that
To breaking up with him to welcoming him back
In my lane driving at my own pace
Respecting her relationship is hard when I yearn for her taste
See her loving is a chef specialty at 5-star restaurant
May not be what you came for, but it is precisely what you want
Texting me while she is arguing with him
In a pool of tears, he leaves her to drown but I taught her how to swim
Encouraging her as she treads water
Knowing she will go back to him, I put my pride aside to embrace her
Because I cherish her
Calling my phone repeatedly last night but I didn’t answer
The next morning via text I found out that he learned about us
To Be Continued…
