Starting Over

When I was twenty something
It seemed like I had never-ending breath
But I kept giving and giving and giving up
Soon I ended up fucking up every dream there was to fuck up
With just twenty something dollars in my wallet
And no contacts in my phone

Now, there's not much you can do
When the whole world disowns you
Not many faces turn and look your way
Those names no longer matter
When your whole life has shattered
And you run out of places to call home

Then I figured out a way to fly
The secret to eternal life
I was the most successful guy
In the world for just a time
When I figured out a way to fly

The secret came aboard an endless pity train
The tracks were bouncing hot hot
Like a fucking rocket's flame
And it was too late, I thought
Too late to slow down or stop
So I waved goodbye

I figured out a way to fly
The secret to eternal life
Starting over, starting fresh
Upside down
Upside down
And down
And down
Down.
