i wish i would

i wish i could send you  
all the light, that  
down through the trees  
empty Cafe  
you stories of  
that which is filtering  
above this  
courtyard surrounding  
me on this morning, of the  
connectiveness holding  
within the tissue,
of the crow  
now, of the soft susurrus  
together  
of speech issuing  
close together above me just  
of the  
traffic whispering  
past, sound waves  
around the building  
so powerfully  
travelling  
to reach my  
ears, for that is where the empty  
courtyard within which I sit is – in  
the rear of the joint – I would send  
you notice of the  
words I speak  
unintelligibly
out in  
reassurance to the barking dog
two house yards away, making  
into the World its own noises.
Speaking. More Sunlight.  
     
i would that there were six of me, each with two sets of hands, that one of them might write you and nothing more. Five more might write (i guess) to other correspondents, and plus there'd be an original ghost, left over just for me.    
     
i suppose I'd have to find a couple two three additional correspondents but that wouldn't be so bad.    
     
today I think I'll go to the bookstore..
