life as a butterfly
Change.
The ever present constant
the profound truth of
the mysterious universe with
myriad laws all leading to
one phenomenon
Change.
All ever wanted by him-
all his Springs
he wanted to change
he wanted change
living like a pupa
concealed beneath
the intricate layers
of misery and misfortune
Will he ever become
the butterfly and spread
his wings and f l y
to the nude blue
Will he undergo
successful metamorphosis
and become a butterfly
The name of change-
a beauteous and bounteous one
a tiny moving painting
of mother nature-
fluid-primordial
a dollop of bright-transient hues
in the air
Evanescent one moment
and the very next-
motionless
sitting on a large leaf
reminiscing
of its past life-
ruminating
A riot-a flash-a blast-a storm
vivid-vast-divine
The butterfly
mystical-elaborate-profound
God's own creature
Hope floats
hope tells
the tales being
numerous-universal-unique
His tale would be one such
a journey
a discovery
an Odyssey
too large
too mystical
Time tells
as curiosity swells
The life of a butterfly.

You have such an amazing way with words! You use descriptors I would never think of! "Nude" in front of "blue" ... it's genius! And the contrast between "evanescent" and "motionless" ... beautiful!

Your poems never fail to surprise me...you use words in ways that others have overlooked....you look at the world and cast a light on an issue that is different from any previous idea...you CREATE POETRY in EVERY SENSE of the word CREATE...

'Evanescent one moment
and the very next-
motionless
sitting on a large leaf'
This reminded me of the Caterpillar in Alice and Wonderland, though that may just be my mood. This was such an easy, fluttered read. Even the shaping of each line moves like butterfly wings
and the rhythm keeps that tempo nicely. Well done, a profound, innocent job.
