From the Darkness: Winter Solstice '20
Solstice, a Universal gift
of increasing light
during Wintertide
The unpredictable nature
of Crone wisdom, whispering
You are the warmth
A Great Conjunction
accompanied by waxing moon
signals alignment and growth
Outstretched are hearts
toward a New Year of Hope

Dear A,
... Hooking up words and phrases and clauses...
I love the Crone wisdom and winter for that matter. I think honoring this solstice is wonderful and hopeful. And So needed.
I wish you merriment and joy this Yuletide. H🌷

Thank you, Honoria!
I agree on the necessity of honoring Nature; she is bountiful to us yearlong. If more honored her, we wouldn't be in the position we're in with climate change.
I wish you a very Happy Christmas and a Merry New Year! ❤

Is it unpredictable because it comes from one experienced in channeling?
When a little light goes a long way in the darkness, the gift of extra being shed is most welcome.
"Outstretched are hearts
toward a New Year of Hope"
With some additional gravitational pull tugging on those heart strings.
A wonderful offering to mark the occasion!

Thank you, Andres. That's a very nice observation, and kind of you to share it.
I perused some of your poetry earlier today; I hate you have commenting disabled.

A lovely little pagan prayer. I’ve wanted vaguely to produce a book of poems called The Pagan Hymnal.
That image you’ve attached is gorgeous, by the way; do you have a source for it? I’d also like to ask you about Croning, as I’ve seen a video of women in California discussing it, calling themselves old crones (which I took to be a reclamation of the term “old crone” as a sexist pejorative), and I wonder if it’s the same set of beliefs.

Hi, Jack; I think the Pagan Hymnal is a stellar idea!
The artwork is by Autumn Skye Morrison. I typically put that in my author's note but overlooked it. Thanks for asking so I can correct that.
I think this quote would convey it more adequately, or, eloquently than I could.
This time belongs to the crone.
She's arriving into the greatest time of her life. Creativity is blossoming, even exploding within her. She's lived a full life, chased her dreams, raised her kids, fulfilled (some at least) her ambitions, had a career, gone through intense relationship lessons and some! Her life holds furrows of love, pain, joy, suffering, hope, fear, holy anger. Everything now enters her crucible as wisdom. She's done with most stuff that consumed her life. She's never felt more free than now, to listen to her deepest longings. And she's never felt more empowered than now to be all of herself. You can see her fearlessly living her truth. Her biggest freedom is that she's stepped out of expectations. If something matters to her deeply, she pursues it with passion and prayer. She has no image to safeguard. She has a reservoir of energy like never before. She's the wise teacher our planet needs now. She's holding vital information.
From elderly, she's becoming the elder.

Thank you for explaining the Crone idea. I like that a lot. Makes me think of the Wise Women of bygone times.

Foiled by Nature herself! LOL!
But seriously, you have until the first week in January to see it! You haven't missed a thing!
Glad you churned one out yourself! Pretty good too. I hope 2021 is kind to you, anna, and that we get to see a new book!
I wish you a very Happy Christmas and a Merry New Year! ❤
