Counting blessings

Counting blessings in a rhyme  
to the point I'll waste no time  
Family, friends, and those who love me  
a church, a home, a roof above me  
food to eat and running water  
grandkids, my sons, and loving daughters  
my spouse, my health, a servants heart  
to 'Love thy neighbor' and do my part  
a running car, a store near by  
a coat to wear to keep me dry  
a garden plot to raise and reap  
potatoes, tomatoes, squash and leaks  
A bike, a television, keeps me amused  
My dog to walk, some comfy shoes  
a few bucks left over, that I call mine  
to buy a gift, or go out to dine  
Thankfulness that I give in Prayer  
another day to breathe His air  
My joy, my peace, would have no meaning  
If into Him, I was not leaning  
It all means nothing without the Word  
Jesus, the Bible,have you heard?  
He lived, He died, He was resurrected  
God and Spirit are all connected  
Repent, Love Jesus, He paid our price  
That day,on the cross, His sacrifice  
Count our blessings, let them uplift  
But accepting Jesus, is our greatest gift.
