It's a little girl getting a perm
They were torture but my mom started letting us perm our own hair in middle school and that's exactly what I looked like my first time... hahaha...
But those curlers you sleep in were a nightmare, too.... ugggh.

Yes, ma'am 😍 When getting ready on a school morning, I'd just roll out bed and get myself dressed because there was no chance in hell I was getting into the kids bathroom. And the fights were legendary...WHO USED MY CURLING IRON? Is that my dress...take it off now, etc. etc.

I think I'm very much still the kid I was. Though I can appreciate it more as an adult.

I can feel that sentiment, exactly! Somedays, I wish to be that kid for just a few days... lol.. carefree.

Nope! Every single picture! Love them. Adorable concept! I was just transported immediately back in time to my childhood except my banana seat bike was pink with pink streamers hanging from the handle bars. Your poem is wonderful, it truly is the blink of an eye when childhood is but this nostalgic memory of soft smiles or hysterical laughter at the fashions. Great write. H🌷

Those banana seat bikes with the handlebar steamers and baskets... I had that white plastic wicker type basket with 70's multicolor'd flowers on it!!I, too.. Every time I see them, I'm transported back. It WAS my childhood. That bike was a sense of freedom and adulthood. The kid version of having a car... We would ride our bikes ALL DAY! Going places we definitely weren't supposed to.... hahaha... My banana seat bike, definitely had stories to tell..... 😉
