I met you many times

I tell you fellow
I met you many times
Have you?

I ramble with you in my lucid mind
When the idea comes through
And with your silence you address me

They say you’re utterly kind
You understand my verity and my view
And you came to set me free

I don’t wear a mask, I will not be blind
This uncomfortable feeling is not new
When strange things are over, knowledge is the key

Remember when you dined
with some raggedy folks sitting by you
You shared your potion and meal with thee

I wasn’t there, but I shined
I wish I enjoyed that brew
Let’s hang out, break bread and make a plea

I tell you friend
I met you many times
Have you?

Can your love save me from my fate
And make my heart beat
Are you just the realm of my imagination

I roam the highways of life leveling hate
And try to make pleasure my feat
But my brain is nothing short of a new creation

I am the animal who seeks a mate
The mortal who walks the beat
But I am no God of a new nation

I am therefore looking for the great
Man that paced the earth in this dirty street
kicking cans, looking for attention

Are you the one that came for a clean slate
The one who was born on a bed of wheat
Flying with the winged Gods to reshape my notion

I tell you brother
I met you many times
Have you?

They made you, who brings a disturbance
Help the sick and undernourished
Bring peace to the madman and the village whore

They claim the light in the barn revealed balance
To the hideous and the impoverished
Help is on the way, just open the door

Orders flow, look, listen, bow down in reverence
A dark dream from which you vanished
A woman at your feet weeping on the floor

Come back I miss your presence
She whispered while her warm tears bled
Chanting your message, made to soar

The brightness in the sky is made of Silence
The sidewalks are made of thread
Your messengers just left the shore

As for I, my Fellow, my Friend, my Brother
We had many encounters during our lifespan
And for the sake of the truth, my fellow mortal
I will wonder the paths of reason, as should every son of man
