Genuine

growing up is overrated
when you're young
you want it so badly
then the time comes
and you find out it sucks
bosses always up your butt
if it wasn't for the insurance
would tell them all to suck a cock
hearing from others
just apply yourself
go back to school
thanks for the advice, fucking assholes
they don't seem to be doing much better
kind of think everyone is someone's bitch
when you are grown
you want to be left alone
then you realize
you've pushed everybody away
and you're ashamed
because you know it's true
you've become a prick
from the stress
fuck this growing up thing
I'll play the same songs
and watch the same shows
I did in my youth
others will turn their nose to me
least I can say I'm still genuine
writing the things I want
loving the way I need to be
without the need to listen
to anyone's judgment
