Wasting Time

Paper and pen, so let’s begin
Start with the middle or start at the end?
The beginning would take too long
And you’d see clearly I wasn’t where I belonged
Maybe I should just give the short story
Because some of the details even bore me
But I tend to ramble on and on
Like a rolling stone through the “Muddy Waters”
So much happened that it causes distractions
When I try to tell the story I always lose traction
But anyway where was I, the end or the middle?
Seems I lost my place in the riddle
Bear with me one moment more
I’m really a good guy at my core
Man …I’m really making this a chore
But I told you before that less was more
The point I was trying to make
Is that... look at all the time it takes
When you talk about nothing, you get nothing done
You’ll keep wasting time, and the clock will still run

Author's Note
You get so caught up in what isn't that you waste so much time
looking for or trying to explain what wasn't there to begin with...
this is basically a poem about nothing.....and thats the point
