Awaken The Moon

Deadwood
has fallen
Hope of a better you, stretched thin
skin shredding,
wrinkled with guilt and shame.

Awaken the moon, water child
You are heirloom blossoms
free,  pale yellow petals.

Breakaway

Muted gray deception
Rancid oils puddled on the landscape
of your perceived horizon

Etui lined
 in printed silk
holds fabricated images
of hearts beating,
bleeding into effervescence

A metronome
boxed, in infinite rhythm
