Behind the satin curtain of being
The Poetry of glass cities
Shattered pieces, broken people
And faith turned inside out
Shredded and torn words,
suffer obscene manners of suicide
Lines disappear into the ether
Each shard cutting as we try to
put ourselves back together again
As best we can ...

Thank you so much for the comment Francisco, sometimes you have to let them out. Other times trying to keep them in.

Lets hope the DUP community can, with the poet's expression, provide a service like "Safelite" and help mend the cracks and shatter until one can clearly see and be seen again. Let the light in, but providing protection from the unwanted "elements".

I am not sure we ever see clearly but let's hope we can find beauty in the cracks and that expression can be unhindered. And that we can let the light without unwanted elements.

It's all broken...but perhaps together we can patch it all up a little...poignant poem Kristina.

Thank you so much for the comment Harry, I was referring mostly about writing regarding life in general. We all face our own trials and tribulations and so much of the time poetry is about expressing those.
