Image for the poem Her Thoughts

Her Thoughts

Her light fell upon me in the deep dark of night
Bathing me in her warm sensuous glow
I resisted the temptation yet replied hello
She talked and I listened intently but could not forego

Her lovely manner and her sharp words
Pointed and delicate all the same
As her self seemed to be also
A delicate flower in need of loving rain

A smile then a laugh she amused me
With tender soothing and mild gaffe
I read more intently
Sharing heartily in her laughs

More and more we passed data
And shared musicality
Finding it more and more difficult
To be without her sensuality

Her eyes then beckoned
With her words floating in my mind
I knew then I was deeply hooked
A prisoner to her sultry lines

Sigh ...
