Empathy
Empathy has a special keeper.
There is a rose left on the vine
with its head hung,
looking at the fallen petals below -
the fragrance is crushing.
We are a all part of each other,
the flower knows,
empathy is the enduring love of a rose.

The rose knows.
Or as Nabokov said annagrammatically: A sore rose of Eros.

No, thank you you’re amazing. And hey, years ago I saw a poem about spring cleaning and standing toe to toe with a ghost. Not one of yours, but I think you posted it. Do you know the one I mean? It was awesome and I’d love to read it again.
Either way, hOpe everything is well in your world 🙏🏼

spring cleaning and standing toe to toe with a ghost, sounds awesome 😃 I will look around the sounds & clouds... I'll have to think, but there's a familiarity. Thank you Frankee the cat. 🐈😁

Since reading I’ve been patching up my childhood home and have come to know that ghost pretty well haha. So yeah TY Pish, keen for a reread, but also it’s no biggie at all. Hope you’re well 🙏🏼

I remember one here specifically,
In that I took the text and made an image, and then posted it with some sort of poem or thought
... with that image attached. I don't remember the name of it though and I've been trying like heck. I suck at names.
I'll run across it again someday/ghosts are very keen.
Bit I did a search in my Facebook feed and found these you might enjoy. I appreciate your visit! 🥰
"Silence is as deep as eternity; speech, shallow as time. No ghost was ever seen,
by only two pair of eyes."
Carlyle
And then ,
All Hallows Night
by Lizette Woodworth Reese
"Two things I did on Hallows Night:—
Made my house April-clear;
Left open wide my door
To the ghosts of the year.
Then one came in. Across the room
It stood up long and fair—
The ghost that was myself—
And gave me stare for stare."
