My friend
The sky is blue today
It kisses the sea beyond
The ocean’s azure glow
Lighted up by the sun
The waves incessant
pounding
On the sandy shore
Crashing and swishing
And back again
I feel gentle zephyr
Its caressing blow
Upon this sweaty brow
And I know
Everything’s going to be alright
My friend
You feel so down today
The world is just so grey
Music discordant play
Plays strange sad melodies
You feel the tug of sadness
Plucking your sleeves
You want to cry
And mourn against the world
You wish you can fly,
free yourself from life’s shackles
But love is your anchor
Hope is your everlasting hold
that the many tomorrows
will be better than today
My friend
I stand with you today
Holding your hands
I just want to say
My confidante, mate, my friend
You have a place within
this little heart of mine
Your sadness
Is mine to witness
Though the burden’s unshared;
Your disillusionment
I do understand;
I have nothing to offer
But my heartfelt prayer
That your tomorrows will be alright.

thats all any of us want another to do
though they may not experience what we go through
sometimes just a familiar face will brighten the dark blue
& sometimes the comfort of a warm embrace is needed too
those are the qualities of a friend that is true

In DUP, we are all friends and family,MrAlptraum. Some more than others, because of some thoughts and sadness shared.
