Image for the poem she/I

she/I

Sitting in the luminosity of
the full-bellied moon
I see a reflection of myself
Who is she?
She who reflects.
The one who’s reaching
out her hand.
Does she reach out or does she pull in?
Does she look at me in the same sense?
An image so familiar.
A version from the archives.
Mirror image reflection.
Her stare causes
ripples in the water.
Words that falls into ink.
She wants to flow
where the current takes her.
Taken with the clouds,
where she falls like drops,
and can be the cause of
the waves of the ocean.
So who is she,
if you know her so well?
I feel gloom setting in
And I look up into the cold white
teeth of the moon,
smiling at me mockingly
judging my thoughts.
