Republicans Have Turned Into Snowflakes

I was an Independent leaning Republican  
But that was before Trump
I could see he was a crook
It makes my heart ache
Republicans have turned into Snowflakes
    
I'm not sure when it happened
I remember when that's what they called Dems
Said the Democrats governed by their 'feelings'
Now Republicans don't accept 'facts'
They believe every conspiracy
Won't admit when they're proved wrong
Because they say the conspiracies 'felt right'
It makes my heart ache
Republicans have turned into Snowflakes
 
They used to pick on Democrats
About the idea of consolation trophies
Giving to kids just for trying
But they yell about taking away statues
Erected for a Confederate General
And don't realize it's the same thing
It makes my heart ache
Republicans have turned into Snowflakes
 
They're willing to destroy our democracy
To get their illustrious leader
Won't accept he lost
They're willing to burn down our system  
No matter the cost
They say Hillary didn't accept defeat
She called Trump on the night of the election
It makes my heart ache
