Cabin Fever
Feeling claustrophobic because you’ve been confined all this time?
This pandemic has taken away all the hedonism
Or do you agonize when you can’t get a word in edgewise?
It feels like a sentence you’re unable to finish in prison
Does this paranoia destroy a healthy relationship?
Moods and attitudes get in the way of what used to be elegant
Is it getting the best of you and your imagination?
Maybe this is the true test of character development
Whether it’s madness or sadness as death surrounds the planet
Going a little stir crazy is part of the cabin fever
But if you hear something weird awakening the worst of your fears
The voice in your head may just be the ultimate deceiver

Dear crimsin, I think many of us are feeling the uneasiness and lack of social interaction. It's very disheartening at times. But I like to hang on to that bit of hope that sometime in the future, we'll be able to look back at these days and know we are stronger for it.
Hope you're doing well. I'm always in awe of your writing and postings with the different moods and styles, it's very Zen.

I think many of us are feeling those symptoms, it's especially harder for those who are outgoing or social butterflies. Either way, writing serves as an escape until this thing is over.
Hope you're feeling better. And congrats on the last two comps, you've been on a roll.

The best thing we can do during times like this is be creative. Being on lockdown is not fun but we just need to patient and keep our wits.
Hope you're doing well and that everyone on your side of the coast has gotten their power back.

I like to watch a lot ghost stuff on YouTube, then I'd steal the ghosts whispering and make it my own material, what are they going to do, sue me?
Everyone handles this lockdown very differently, I'm a homebody so I'm OK (plus working from home keeps me busy). But then there are days...

People are desperate for companionship but when you give it to them it's one big onslaught of mask vs. no mask and rights taken away. Wear the mask, speak less, march on to the vaccine one day.

It's been tough on relationships and families, but you figure everyone learns to adjust. The news and all the what's going on doesn't help much. I try to remain optimistic, hopefully the second half of 2021 is brighter.

Great write - this pandemic is affecting everyone, I worry so much that one day I will catch this and bring it to my Mom when I go to her house to help her.

Yes, I worry about the same when I drop things off at mom's and grandma. It looks like the second wave is coming so we're bunkering down for the holidays.
We all go a little crazy, but I just let my gemini twin take over and let him write some wild stuff just let him out for bit.

Those voices in head are driving me nuts and i can find no way to shut them up other then jumping in front of the métro and putting an end to it all.

So as morbid as I can be, I looked up certain scenarios (there are websites of course) and I have to say that it made me re-think some of my previous thoughts and tendencies, not so much for myself but for what the trauma it can cause others.
But I hear you, there are times when we're just fed up with it.
