Strain (on the) MainFrame

mercy's echo
moves too quick gone
                            too soon
               how to reconcile at such
                  a        vel
                              o   ci ty
blindly all knowing as to
know
no     thing       in  truth's true thing
                            an   ill'usion
                     a folk'lore
          of all the     foot'falling
it took   (takes     taken  )      to
                                                get
                              our hell
                outta         dis'place
before        hell   (all)       breaks      loose
                     in       hell's       (own)
            high water
ripplin'effect        as      kings        would
                                            in they's
                           counting houses counting
            things that
might've              held a significance
                                 "back in the day"
                      in the long ago
            ( or never-was  )
as if such (as that)       could         ever
                                                          have
                       mattered           " in any sense
                                                             of            the
                                                                  word"
                                                     ( o,
                                                              terrible      w o r d   !  )
