When Porto Bello city fell
July 'O Sixteen Sixty-eight
We pirates took the citadels
And sealed the Spanish city’s fate
Her women raped, her menfolk slain
When Porto Bello city fell
Our cunning Captain Morgan reigned
Until the ransom paid as well
The mayor’s daughters’ fate befell
Despoiled and stripped 'o all their clothes
When Porto Bello city fell
Enslaved and sold as brothel whores
The raid, his Letter Marque forbade
Yet Henry Morgan played it well
'Ter rule Jamaica undismayed
