The Dawning Sun
Dearest Master,
I love all of your creation
For there is nothing
In the creation
That is not You.
What a different picture
You paint for me
Than the ancient religions of yore.
Here I am seen, by You,
As your own sweet love
Dancing just outside the shadow
Of Your temple.
Then -
When I enter Your temple
The radiance of your light
Reflects on my inner screen,
As your music fills my concert hall.
At last -
The sun has dawned
On the dark night of my ignorance.
I love all of your creation
For there is nothing
In the creation
That is not You.
What a different picture
You paint for me
Than the ancient religions of yore.
Here I am seen, by You,
As your own sweet love
Dancing just outside the shadow
Of Your temple.
Then -
When I enter Your temple
The radiance of your light
Reflects on my inner screen,
As your music fills my concert hall.
At last -
The sun has dawned
On the dark night of my ignorance.
