Life's Mystery
Days roll by
Passing one by one
Like leaves falling
An endless cycle
Of endings and beginnings
As time moves along
Months fly away
A year goes so fast
It's almost over now
And I'm still here
Stuck in my circumstance
Nothing seems to change
Yet everything changes
With the passing of time
Life is a mystery
I cannot fathom
Most of the hows and whys
They elude my mind
So I just live
Hoping and believing
That the answers will come
When the time is right
When the moment has come
For me to be awakened

Love this, Summer! Patience and living in the moment of faith and belief attracks exactly what we desire. The format was particularly pleasing, and provided a lot of room to breathe and relax while reading.

Your poem puts so wonderfully that feelings of being stuck.
“ And I'm still here
Stuck in my circumstance
Nothing seems to change” the touchstone of the piece in this stanza for me. Trying to find a slice of joy in each day or something to be grateful for is as exhausting as trying to figure out how I got to this point in the first place. Such a true and emotional write. H🌷

I really liked this Summer, I think you've expressed something that most of us have thought or are still thinking about. And it's true, I think in time everything will reveal itself.
