Note to me

I suppose life is a bit
Like a pilgrimage
To Canterbury - if such still exist
(Nice ride with Chaucer)
Or to Compostelle
If stops at (so rumored) bed bugs
Infested inns are of interest?
Stops here and there along
The road of life with its bumps
And highs and lows where,
Either way you don't want to go.
But then toooooo long on
A plateau may give you
The false impression
Of being arrived and settled
But then thrown aside
By unexpected gusts and winds.
In life and self you must trust
To get yourself back on your feet
And continue on that journey
Sometimes pleasurable
Sometimes not
Unless you decide
Just to sit there, bitch
Complain and rot.
