The Big Guffaw At The End of Humanworld

 


A terrible torment, this
thinking of ours, and so
gratuitously done.

Who could blame the world
for revolting against our
insanely applied "stewardship"?

yet, it is no less taken-for-granted
that our chawing at the Fat-of-the-Land
will continue unabated for as long

as we assume to be God's superior
species, as all is trampled by said
species in a "world without end, amen".

As folly just keeps on keepin'on, wit no
appreciable collective (self) awareness
as to What it is we keep on keepin'on.

The affairs of man-on-earth are spinning in
a vortex of end-game hubris, to the delight
of a self-aggrandizing president & his minions,

dressed as soldier'boys and duly armed
 in full display of the stupidity at hand, where,
as has always been, "a winner" can only be

                                                           imagined.
