No Part Of This World
I saw rain fall this morning
And I was grateful
I walked to the bathroom and turned on the water and I was grateful
I heard a scream. ran to the window a bullet laid in a women’s body
She was still alive
I was grateful
I saw a homeless man eating
I was grateful
I saw a women holding her child in the rain the baby was well covered
I was grateful
I was able to leave and not see those things anymore
I was grateful
I woke up this morning and
all I see is cornfields now
Some rabbits and maybe a few bugs
and I’m grateful
I’m sitting on my porch
Watching all that God has giving me
And I’m grateful
I live in this world but I’m no part of it.

Hello. I agree with Honoria, the last line is haunting. For honest feedback, I got that you live in solitude but was glad that you explained it. I thought the last line could have so many different meanings which made it haunting for me. It is an excellent poem as are all of your poems I have read.

Being no part of the worlf is symbolic
I dont engage in alot of things that the whole world does like holidays, politics or certain religious beliefs.
And if you was too ask if i believe in THE GOD! I woukd say yes with the biggest smilie.
