Something Afoot!

I am a bit puzzled,
Kerfuffled,
And confused
As i don't understand
Why
My feet
Are called feet
When they are only
Nine inches long
And ive always been
A size eight
Puzzling in itself
As feet normally
Grow larger with age
Yet now
I'm a size seven
And that pussyfooting
Has nothing to do
With either
Cats
Nor feet?
