This is a rather bleak sounding holiday. There is a darkness to it, in a Poe sort of way. As always, I love your graphic.

Yep, this was a bleak holiday lol. butchers shops and their methods and  wallcharts omg. I had to deal with meat unfortunately when i was young, and turned vegan for  a long while.

of course all this is metaphorical venting hopefully in some  way.

I read it in a metaphoric light. The gruesome charts and slaughter so grotesquely normalized as a lens upon the cruel conventions of society. I felt a kind of fragility to the keys and bus tickets, like a desire for something wholesome, an escape, in a brutal, obtuse and treacherous world. Your wording and details are an earmark of your exquisite ability.
