Spacehope
Outside theres a frozen river
and a dog that shivers .
A stone wall
a distant birds shrill call .
A lengthy unbounded garden
beneath a constellation of
stardom .
As I look through the
double glazed window
theres a reflection of a frenzied
fire that glows and is blazing
I see neatly
mitred
and fluted
archatraveing
a pot rail and a stable door
and a cold
uncarpeted floor.
Crafted floorboards
excentuated
by promenant beams
its strange it seems
for a ceiling
to radiate
so much feeling .
Newly plastered walls
and antique skirting
canine savaged rubber balls
and a single draped curtain .
What a place
it may as well be
way out in that vast gap
we call space .
