Sexual "Preference" vs "Orientation"
Recently President Trump nominated judge Amy Barrett for the Supreme Court.
During the confirmation hearings some Democrat senator objected to Amy Barrett's use of "preference" as opposed to orientation. These Dems (or else it was a media spokesman) are determined to get everyone to say "orientation" and drop the use of "preference." Why is that? Because preference implies you voluntarily choose to engage in same sex acts.You're not forced to. Whereas orientation is used as a code word for a lack of choice: there 's no alternative. You are forced by your genes, driven to unite with same sex partners. So its not your fault. We wouldn't say that Jack "prefers" to breath oxygen. Its not a preference. No, its what he has to - HAS TO - do in order to live. His physical being cries out for oxygen. He's a slave to it.Ditto for homosexuals. Just substitute oral sex for oxygen.This is the party line, according to the "progressives" among us.
But i object on the basis of the nature of ADDICTION. The drug addict can plead innocent on the basis of the power of the drug over his mind/ body. But he didn't START OUT that way. He cooperated with the drug. Sure, over time he may become a helpless victim, no self control left. But it wasn't always like that. By VOLUNTARILY taking the drug over and over, he unwittingly CHOSE to slide into the condition he is in.
Ditto with samesex sex relationships. By choosing to masturbate using a mirror so you can become completely self absorbed (in love with your own sex organ), you basically orient the mind to feel gratification with not just your organ alone, but with that type of sex organ - the generic sense of that organ. Because this is a developmental progression, we can rightly call it voluntary action, a choice, although certainly not a deliberate one. Rather it is an unwitting choice. You literally don't realize what you are doing.(Like Christ said on the Cross, "..they don't know what they're doing"(Luke 23.34)).
St. Thomas Aquinas defined beauty this way: that which gives you pleasure when you look upon it. The reverse is also true. If you are receiving pleasure, then when you look at something (anything), it tends to look better to you. The pleasure becomes a lens thru which you are looking. My point is that looking at the organ while giving pleasure to yourself tends to effect your perception there of. You literally are training yourself to become samesex oriented. Your preference for self stimulation over alternative activity, leads to a samesex orientation. For the organ used in auto eroticism and in samesex union is the same organ. Am I right or wrong ??!!
