A deathly prison

Sleepwalking the  
Death march
Quickening our
Journey to the grave

You may think 'This is not for you'
Very much on the contrary
This is exactly what
You need to hear
It is time
 
Those claiming power
And wisdom, are truly,
Powerless over us
Their wisdom is
Idiotic mesmerism
Those who ascribe
Weakness to themselves
Are in the deepest
Fog of nightmares
Mentally comatose
They do not deal
In positive solutions
 
Their self made problems
Are preached to the unconverted
They are the generals
Quick-stepping their followers
Into evil and death
Into murder and mayhem
Into bigotry and hatred
 
Those in power and
Those seeking power
Are the very people
Who should never get it
Their corruption knows no bounds
The trust placed in them
Is terminally misplaced
They will change nothing
From nothingness, they came
They will always remain as nothing
 
Despite their appearance of power
I have visions of extinction
If we follow
The prescribed narrative
A war to end to all wars
The military will not
This time be at fault
In this street to street
Hand to hand genocide
A war of races and ideologies
 
These killings, although
Not officially sanctioned
Will certainly be ignored
By government inertia
 
The Storm has a purpose
It is deliberate

In a poetic ending
