By the candlelight
So by the candlelight, I sit alone near a mirror and stared, by the candle light I seen so many faces reflected there. One face with a glowing smile, one face darken and eyes filled with tears.
One vibrant with youth, one tired beaten down by the years. One sitting alone by the candle light waiting for his true love to appear.
By the candlelight I sit alone, companionship has become a stranger. The mirror reflected two more faces, one face appeared joyous and the other filled with anger. Another set of faces, one face seem soft, the other hard one opening his arms to his Lord, the other turning his back to God. One heart pure and beautiful, the other heart battle worn and scared. One face illuminated by light. The other drowning in a lake as dark as tar.
I sit by the candlelight me and my mirror silent and alone. Staring at faces in two different places searching for a home.
