Eulogy For the Best Dad
My dads an army guy
He’s a tough love kind of guy
He's an early riser type of guy.
Sit you at the kitchen table
Before school to get your
Daily dose of fruit kind of guy.
He’s the guy that drove you to
and from school to only become your gym teacher.
My life has been made up of long walks and I owe it to him.
Any time of year you’ll see me with a cup of coffee
and that’s all because of him.
Coffee, long walks, always led to hours of talk of school, boys, and future plans.
He set the standard for showing me how a guy should treat me.
Don’t let no man put his hand on you he always use to tell me.
He was that guy that would show up to every swim practice, every swim meet then treat you to pizza and tell you good job.
He would show up to every soccer game and tell you keep on running and knock every boy down In the field.
He showed up to every basketball game and keep you after practice and tell you no pain no gain.
He was the guy that would tell you
the world is in your hands and you can do anything you want.
This guy, he’s my dad, and I wouldn’t trade him for any other.
