The Void I love
You will never hurt me
You will never leave me
You will never be anything
Outside of the void in which
I throw my love for the idea of you
It's easy to say that I love you in my mind
Honestly, it is simply escapism at its finest
Except that I know when I do that I blur
Those sweet colors of reality in fantasy
My mind has made it so safe to feel
And explore what love means in
Relation to the void idea of you
You could truly love me back
And have your own void
It's shape perfectly mine
But surely you know
That wouldn't be me
You will never leave me

Love is complicated, they say you should fall in love with your best friend, but does it work out. Follow your heart and know when it's time to move on. Keep on writing.

Sometimes it's an addiction beyond logic where we're all drawn to it. As Phantom above said, it's complicated, it makes us feel whole and yet some void lingers. But it's also a great source of inspiration to write.
