Anxiety
She creeps up on you.
Gets into your mind.
Speaks to you like a long lost friend.
Drags you down like an enemy.
She doesn’t want the best for you,
Just finds pleasure in your misery.
You can’t help but be controlled by her.
She has you think about every single thing you did wrong.
She deprived you of sleep.
Tells you there’s no one that wants to be your friend.
She laughs when you believe her.
When you distance yourself
She pats you on the back
And says good job.
But she’s just laughing at you.
Till you feel entirely isolated
Till she lets you see the real picture.
Shows you that you are a bad person,
A waste of space.
When you reach out to people
You thought were your friends,
And see they want nothing to do with you,
It hits you.
She was right all along.
You are nothing
